A year after signing him to a deal worth $10 million guaranteed, the Buccaneers have released WR Michael Clayton.

Clayton was in a roster crunch with Sammy Stroughter, Arrelious Benn, Mike Williams and Maurice Stovall at receiver and Clayton didn't play on special teams.

Although he's regarded as a strong blocker, Clayton struggled to catch passes consistently following his standout rookie season.
