As the Saints prepare to cut their roster to 53 this weekend, multiple reports indicate they have cut veteran DE Bobby McCray on Friday.
McCray is a seven-year veteran out of Florida who played in every game last season, including as a starter in all three of New Orleans' playoff games. He was released by the team in June as a salary-cap hit but was brought back a month later. He has played in 93 career games with 37 starts. McCray's most productive season was 2006 with the Jaguars when he started 12 games and recorded 10 sacks.
McCray had been slotted as the backup to offseason acquisition DLE Alex Brown.
