QB John Beck agreed to a contract extension with the Redskins on Wednesday, according to ESPN.

The deal is a two-year extension for $2.25 million for 2011-12. Beck makes $1.1 million this year as Washington's third-string QB behind Donovan McNabb and Rex Grossman.

Beck was traded to Washington from Baltimore at the beginning of August in exchange for CB Doug Dutch. He was originally a second-round draft choice in 2007 by the Dolphins, but fell behind current Miami starter Chad Henne and was dealt to the Ravens prior to the 2009 season.

In his career, Beck has started four career games - all with the Dolphins in 2007 - completing 56% of his passes, throwing for 559 yards, one TD and three interceptions.
