With Vikings WR Sidney Rice expected to miss half of the season following hip surgery last week, the team placed him on the reserve/physically-unable-to-perform list Tuesday. As a result, Rice won't be eligible to return to the team until after the first six weeks of the regular season.
Last week Minnesota signed WR Javon Walker, who played with Brett Favre in Green Bay, and traded for Dolphins WR Greg Camarillo to add manpower to their depleted WR corps, which has also been weakened by Percy Harvin's continuing bouts with migraine headaches.
In other roster moves Tuesday, the Vikings waived WR Marko Mitchell and OT Bill Noethlich and placed LB Jeremy Leman on injured reserve after he cleared waivers. The moves reduced Minnesota's roster to the required 75 players.
