The Steelers released five players to cut their roster down to 75 on Tuesday, including veteran OLB Andre Frazier.
Frazier played in 14 games last season and was on the roster for both Super Bowl XL and XLIII. A special-teams standout, Frazier has had knee injuries throughout his career. He was placed on the physically-unable-to-perform list when he reported to training camp then was placed on injured reserve before being released Tuesday.
The Steelers placed rookie OG Chris Scott on the PUP list. The fifth-round draft pick out of Tennessee broke his foot in late June.
Other players released by Pittsburgh on Tuesday included LB Brandon Renkart, CB David Pittman, FB Dwayne Wright and OG Adrian Jones.
