The Redskins placed oft-injured WR Malcolm Kelly on injured reserve Tuesday. The former second-round pick has battled knee injuries in his career and then pulled his left hamstring at the start of training camp.
Kelly pulled the hamstring muscle again when he returned to practice Monday. His recurring injuries prevented him from competing for playing time in a thin receiving corps opposite Santana Moss that includes veteran Joey Galloway and third-year man Devin Thomas.
Kelly caught 25 passes for 347 yards in 2009.
