Monday, the Redskins traded for LB Hall Davis. Tuesday, they decided they had seen enough.
Washington cut the rookie on Tuesday, less than 24 hours after acquiring him in a trade with the Rams for an undisclosed conditional draft pick. A fifth-round pick by St. Louis out of Louisiana-Lafayette, the rookie failed to make a positive impression in either training camp.
The Redskins also released offensive linemen James Dearth and Edwin Williams, as well as S Lendy Holmes.
