The Cowboys got good news Tuesday, just 12 days before their Sunday night season opener in Washington. Head coach Wade Phillips announced four starters have been cleared to practice, and another is expected back next week.
LB Keith Brooking (shoulder), rookie WR Dez Bryant (ankle), SS Gerald Sensabaugh (shoulder) and DE Marcus Spears (knee) have all been cleared to practice. Sensabaugh will be held out of contact drills and is still questionable for the opener. ORT Marc Colombo (knee) is expected to return to practice next week.
Starting OLG Kyle Kosier is considered doubtful for the season opener with a sprained MCL suffered Aug. 18. Phillips said that Kosier will start some of his rehab this week.
Bryant tweeted that he would be "back in action Thursday," a reference to Dallas' preseason finale against the Dolphins. Phillips said no decision has been made on whether his rookie WR would play.
