The Falcons announced two roster moves Tuesday, continuing to trim their roster.
Atlanta waived DT Thomas Johnson, who started 10 games for the team in 2009. With Peria Jerry returning from injury and rookie Corey Peters also in the fold, the Falcons have more depth at tackle and Johnson became expendable.
S Matt Giordano, who signed with the Falcons in March, had his contract terminated and agreed to an injury settlement. He was expected to help out on special teams before the Falcons decided to move on withouth him. Giordano, a sixth-year veteran, made two tackles in five games with the Colts last season.
