Broncos RB Knowshon Moreno practiced Tuesday for the first time since injuring his right hamstring at the start of training camp.
The second-year running back said he was "80-some percent" after participating in practice, his first since Denver's camp opened on Aug. 1 when he suffered the injury. It is unlikely he will play in the Broncos' preseason finale against the Vikings on Thursday, but could be ready for the regular-season opener on Sept. 12 against Jacksonville.
Moreno was in a similar situation in 2009, missing much of the preseason after spraining his knee during the first exhibition game, but recovered to run for 947 yards and seven touchdowns in all 16 regular-season contests.
