Jets LB Calvin Pace suffered a broken foot in Friday night's preseason loss to the Redskins. The New York Daily News is reporting he will miss about six weeks.

Pace left the game in the third quarter. He led the Jets with eight sacks in just 12 games in 2009.

Rex Ryan's vaunted defense does have depth, though, as veteran Jason Taylor will take Pace's spot in the lineup. There is also speculation that the Jets could go after free-agent LB Adalius Thomas who played for Ryan in Baltimore.
