Cowboys rookie WR Dez Bryant ran routes at practice Thursday for the first time since suffering a high ankle sprain last month.

While Bryant is ruled out for this week's preseason game against the Texans, he said he would be ready for the season opener against the Redskins.

"I know for a fact that I'm going to be ready for Washington," Bryant told the Cowboys' official Web site. "I feel great, I feel fine. I've been running; I've been doing a lot of good things. So I'll be ready."

Bryant, the 24th overall pick in the 2010 draft, also wants to get a couple snaps in the preseason finale against the Dolphins.
