The Broncos received some good news Wednesday when tests reportedly showed that rookie WR Demaryius Thomas did not suffer a stress fracture in his left foot. There are still concerns about the foot, however, and reports indicate the team is worried a screw may have come loose inside of it.
It's doubtful that Thomas, the 22nd overall pick, will be ready for the regular-season opener at Jacksonville on Sept. 12. Thomas fractured the foot in February and it has bothered him off and on ever since. He missed 17 days of practice in August before returning to the field on Tuesday.
Denver has been plagued by injuries throughout training camp, and they have cut into the depth at several positions.
