ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that 49ers NT Aubrayo Franklin will return to San Francisco on Saturday to undergo his physical and sign his $7.003 million contract.

Franklin has missed all of training camp while in a contract dispute after the 49ers placed the franchise tag on him. Last season, Franklin had 36 tackles, two sacks and an interception.

An eight-year veteran out of Tennessee, Franklin is known as a hardworking player and reported to camp last season 15 pounds lighter on his way to becoming a top nose tackle. Earlier this offseason, the 49ers traded frustrated DE-DT Kentwan Balmer to Seattle, and NT Ricky Jean Francois has been filling in nicely on the defensive line.
