Browns rookie RB Montario Hardesty returned to practice Thursday for the first time since injuring his right knee during a pre-training camp workout.

Hardesty, who has had a history of knee problems, suffered a bone bruise to his knee before veterans reported to camp.

A second-round pick out of Tennessee, Hardesty is expected to push starting RB Jerome Harrison for playing time. He rushed for 1,345 yards in his senior season with the Volunteers.
