Just a year after being the league's most injured team, the Bills are already dealing with a slew of key ailments. In addition to RBs Fred Jackson (hand) and Marshawn Lynch (ankle) being sidelined for multiple weeks, Buffalo has lost Pro Bowl FS Jairus Byrd indefinitely after he underwent groin surgery. While we hear head coach Chan Gailey is hoping Byrd can play Week One, the club won't rush back a rising star when it has a talented replacement in George Wilson. The Bills also will have to find a new starter at one outside linebacker spot after free-agent pickup Reggie Torbor (undisclosed injury) went down in the second exhibition game. With the team not fully trusting Aaron Maybin on early downs yet, signs point to converted DE Chris Ellis taking over. Injuries (and a suspension to Shawn Nelson) have left the squad thin at tight end, as well. With a brutal schedule in the first month, the depleted Bills are almost sure to struggle early.
