Don't tell Daryn Colledge that Packers first-round draft pick Bryan Bulaga is on a fast track for the starting OLG role that Colledge struggled so mightily to fill last season. We hear the feisty Colledge refuses to go down without a fight and has probably responded well enough to the challenge being provided by Bulaga to remain the starter — at least for Week One. After being temporarily anointed the starting left guard by virtue of being declared one of the team's five best O-linemen by head coach Mike McCarthy, Bulaga has come down to earth a bit recently, with daily observers telling us he has been having a good — but not great — training camp. Also on the O-line front, while things seem to be looking up for Colledge, it looks like a different story for former starter Jason Spitz, who we hear could be fighting a losing battle with the younger Evan Dietrich-Smith for the backup job at center.
