One of the league's most popular social media users and most colorful characters tweeted a little too much last Friday.

The NFL fined Chad Ochocinco $25,000 Tuesday for violating two NFL game policies — possession of an electronic device and posting messages on a social media site — reported Jason La Canfora of

Players are prohibited from posting to social media sites starting at 90 minutes prior to kickoff and continuing through their postgame media obligations.

Ochocinco, who has more than one milion Twitter followers, will probably respond to the league's decision with a tweet.
