The Albert Haynesworth Saga continues in Washington, as there are now reports the defensive lineman has a muscle condition called rhabdomyolysis.
Haynesworth missed practice last week and explanations for his absence included dehydration and then switched to headaches, but The Washington Post is reporting he was out due to a mild case of rhabdomyolysis. The condition causes rapid breakdown of skeletal muscle due to injury to muscle tissue.
Haynesworth played in the Redskins' preseason game Saturday night and he accused head coach Mike Shanahan after the game of underplaying his medical condition. Experts told The Post that Haynesworth probably recovered from the condition to be able to play on Saturday night.
Shanahan is expected to address the media, and most likely the Haynesworth issue, Monday after practice.
