The Redskins added depth to their offensive and defensive backfields on Monday, adding a couple of veterans. After losing FS Kareem Moore for 4-6 weeks, the Redskins signed Tyrone Carter, a 10-year veteran safety. They also signed FB Carey Davis and released LB Chris Draft.

Carter has played in 151 games with 53 starts in his career and he spent last season with the Steelers, playing in 16 games with 12 starts. He has 53 career starts, 5½ sacks and nine interceptions.

Davis was also in Pittsburgh last season. He has 10 career starts in four NFL seasons.

Draft is an 11-year veteran who signed with the Redskins in May. Safeties Reed Doughty and Chris Horton are the other safeties battling with Carter for a starting spot opposite LaRon Landry.
