Cowboys SS Gerald Sensabaugh will miss 3-4 weeks after suffering a subluxation in his left shoulder during Saturday night's preseason game against the Chargers, according to ESPN Dallas.
Sensabaugh, the team's starter at strong safety, injured the shoulder during the first quarter of the victory at San Diego, and an MRI on Sunday confirmed it was temporarily dislocated. His status for Week One remains in the air.
Sensabaugh, 27, joined the Cowboys last season and finished with 66 tackles and one interception. Prior to that, he spent four years in Jacksonville.
If Sensabaugh cannot play against the Redskins in the regular-season opener, undrafted rookie Barry Church likely would take his spot in the lineup.
