WR Brandon Jones, who was released by the 49ers on Wednesday, agreed to terms with the Seahawks on Sunday.
Jones, 27, worked out for Seattle, Minnesota and Oakland during the past few days, but he ultimately decided to stay in the NFC West. Terms of the deal are unknown.
Jones was surprisingly cut last week after signing a five-year, $16.5 million contract with San Francisco in 2009. However, the team could not justify keeping him after he caught just one pass last season. Prior to that, he spent four years with the Titans.
Where Jones fits into the Seahawks' plans at receiver remains unknown. He'll likely be a reserve to begin the season.
