Chargers OT Tra Thomas has decided to retire, according to reports.

Thomas, who signed with San Diego in June, took snaps as the first-team left tackle in OTAs, but he entered training camp as a backup and fell further behind after getting his knee scoped Aug. 3, which sidelined him for two weeks.

The 12-year veteran spent his first 11 seasons with the Eagles before joining the Jaguars last season.
