The Colts signed free-agent DB Terrell Skinner and placed two defensive backs, Jamie Silva and Donye' McCleskey, on waived/injured. If the two players clear waivers they will be placed on the season-ending injured reserve list.

Silva, a third-year backup safety who had the second most special-teams tackles on the team in 2009, tore an anterior cruciate ligament in last Sunday's preseason game against the 49ers. McCleskey, a rookie out of Indiana State, suffered an undisclosed injury against the 49ers.

Skinner, a rookie safety out of Maryland, was originally signed by the Vikings as an undrafted free agent in April.
