Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald has a sprain of the medial collateral ligament in his right knee, an MRI revealed Sunday.
The injury may keep Fitzgerald on the sideline for the rest of the preseason, but it's not expected to keep him from playing in the regular-season opener Sept. 12 against St. Louis.
Fitzgerald was hurt during the first quarter of the Cardinals' preseason opener vs. Houston on Saturday night when he took a shot from a defender on a 16-yard catch. He went to the locker room but returned to the sideline in the second half.
