Colts C Jeff Saturday has undergone arthroscopic surgery on one of his knees to remove a "loose body," the team announced Tuesday. No timetable was given for his return.

The 11-year veteran is one of the anchors of the offensive line, having missed only six games since winning the starting center job in 2000. He has gone to four Pro Bowls and has been with the Colts longer than any active team member except Peyton Manning.

Three other offensive linemen missed practice Tuesday. OLT Charlie Johnson was out because of a right foot he sprained Friday; ORT Ryan Diem missed the workout because his wife gave birth to their first child last week; and rookie OG Jacques McClendon missed his second morning workout in a row.

The Colts made a couple of roster moves involving their offensive line Tuesday, signing undrafted rookie James Williams from Harvard and releasing veteran free-agent acquisition Andy Alleman, who hadn't practiced since Friday afternoon, when he hurt his back.
