The Eagles announced Monday that they have signed TE Nate Lawrie. To make room for him on the 80-man roster, the team released TE Martin Rucker.
Lawrie, 28, has played in 26 games during his NFL career with the Buccaneers, Saints and Bengals, catching four passes for 43 yards. The 6-6, 255-pounder was a sixth-round draft pick of the Buccaneers in 2004. He was also a member of the Eagles' practice squad for the first two weeks of the 2004 season.
The Yale graduate most recently was a member of the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the UFL.
