Cardinals sign Maui'a, cut Ali

The Cardinals announced Monday that they have re-signed FB Reagan Maui'a and waived/injured FB Charles Ali, who has been sidelined by a hamstring injury.

Maui'a, a 6-0, 265-pounder, rejoins the Cardinals after being released on July 30. He originally signed with the Cardinals on Aug. 5, 2009, during training camp and was released in the team's final roster cut last year on Sept. 4. He re-signed with Arizona on Jan. 21, 2010. Maui'a started two games in 2008 for the Bengals and was inactive for three others after being claimed off waivers from the Dolphins.

He originally entered the league with the Dolphins as a sixth-round selection (181st overall) in the 2007 NFL draft out of Hawaii. He appeared in all 16 games as a rookie with the Dolphins in 2007 with nine starts and had four carries for five yards.
