The Jaguars signed veteran LBs Tony Gilbert and Kris Griffin and DT Leger Douzable and waived WR Nate Hughes, S Terrell Whitehead and OL Andrew Crummey on Sunday.

Gilbert, who spent the past two seasons with the Falcons, played five seasons with the Jaguars from 2003-07. He led the Jaguars in 2006 with a career-high 16 special-teams tackles.

Griffin has played in 46 games with Kansas City and Cleveland since entering the league as an undrafted rookie in 2005.

Douzable was originally signed as an undrafted rookie by Minnesota in 2008 and has also spent time with the Giants, Lions and Rams. He played in 12 games with one start for the Rams in 2009, totaling 16 tackles and five tackles for loss.
