Not only have the Broncos lost their leading pass rusher from last season, they have now lost his replacement — if only for the short term.
OLB Jarvis Moss broke a bone in his right hand during Denver's Friday-morning workout. The broken bone will require surgery, and Moss is expected to miss two weeks of practice.
Moss had been working with the first-team defense for a second day following the news that OLB Elvis Dumervil had torn a pectoral muscle, an injury that is jeopardizing the rest of Dumervil's season.
In other injuries at the Friday practice, ORG Chris Kuper left practice with what appeared to be a sprained right ankle. And newly signed RB LenDale White walked off the field with a trainer and didn't return. The nature of his injury wasn't disclosed.
