The Dolphins announced the signing of TE David Martin on Friday evening.

Martin, a nine-year NFL veteran, rejoins Miami after being released from the team's Reserve/Injured list last December. He was placed on injured reserve last September with a knee injury.

Martin was originally a sixth-round draft choice of the Packers in 2001. He joined the Dolphins in 2007 and went on to have his two most productive pro seasons, appearing in 31-of-32 games and catching 65 passes for 753 yards and five touchdowns.
