Broncos OLB Elvis Dumervil suffered a torn pectoral muscle during a Wednesday practice, according to reports, and could be out for four months.
Dumervil, who led the league in sacks last season, may be able to return late this season. He signed a five-year extension late last month that included $43.168 million guaranteed.
With Dumervil out, the Broncos will rely on OLBs Robert Ayers and Jarvis Moss, two players who have been disappointments thus far, to help generate a pass rush.
