Rookie DT Tyson Alualu, who has missed the first four days of training camp in a contract holdout, has given the Jaguars a verbal agreement on a five-year deal, according to a report in the Florida Times-Union.

Alualu's agent Ken Zuckerman said that he has advised his client to accept the deal, but Alualu and his family will "pray on it" before signing on the dotted line. The deal is expected to be worth as much as $28 million, with $17 million or $18 million guaranteed.

The 6-2½, 295-pounder was the 10th overall selection in the 2010 draft. He is expected to start immediately alongside second-year DT Terrance Knighton in the Jaguars' revamped front four.

In PFW's 2010 Draft Preview, personnel analyst Nolan Nawrocki wrote that Alualu is a "strong, stoutly built, high-energy, athletic defender with the versatility to play anywhere in a '30' or '40' front and could be a terrific mismatch piece for a creative defensive mind."
