The Saints announced Friday that the club has agreed to terms with first-round pick Patrick Robinson, the team's first-round draft choice, on a five-year contract. The deal completes the signings of the club's 2010 draft class.

Robinson, a 5-11, 191-pound cornerback out of Florida State, was the Saints' first selection of the April draft, taken with the 32nd overall pick. He started 25-of-45 career games played for the Seminoles, making 117 tackles with seven interceptions, 21 pass defenses and four forced fumbles.

He posted a school-record streak of five consecutive games with an interception in 2007.

In PFW's 2010 Draft Preview, personnel analyst Nolan Nawrocki said the 22-year-old Robinson is "a supremely athletic, gifted corner with the speed and agility to function on an island." However, Nawrocki cautioned that Robinson's "lack of discipline and minimal on-the-ball production are reasons for pause."
