The Jets added some insurance at receiver Friday, signing Laveranues Coles to a one-year deal.
This is Coles' third stint with the Jets, who drafted him in 2000, and it could be a brief one. Coles could get cut after Week Four, when WR Santonio Holmes returns from a four-game suspension.
Coles spent last season with the Bengals. He started 13 games and made 43 catches for 514 yards and five touchdowns.
