The Jets rewarded head coach Rex Ryan and GM Mike Tannenbaum with contract extensions, the team announced Friday.
Following the team's surprise run to the AFC championship game last season, Ryan and Tannenbaum are now locked up for the next five seasons. Ryan signed a two-year extension on Friday, and Tannenbaum signed a five-year extension in June.
Ryan is in his second season with the team, while Tannenbaum has been with the franchise since 1997. He was promoted to general manager in 2006.
