The Steelers have agreed with ex-Cowboys OT Flozell Adams on a two-year contract, multiple media outlets reported Thursday.
Adams, 35, played 12 seasons for Dallas, logging 178 starts. The Cowboys released Adams, who started all 16 regular-season games at left tackle a season ago, in April.
The 6-foot-7, 338-pound Adams will vie to be one of Pittsburgh's starting tackles, and if he has a good training camp, he figures to be difficult to keep out of the lineup. It's likely that Adams or OLT Max Starks, who began his career on the right side of the line, will replace ORT Willie Colon, who suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in June.
