The Bengals, who begin training camp practices on Thursday, signed second-round pick Carlos Dunlap, a defensive end from Florida, and third-round choice Jordan Shipley, a wide receiver from Texas, on Wednesday.

The 21-year-old Dunlap, personnel analyst Nolan Nawrocki wrote in PFW's 2010 Draft Preview, is an "inconsistent, enigmatic, developing pass rusher who is still growing into his frame and dripping with potential." The 6-foot-6, 277-pound Dunlap, who declared for the draft after his junior season, recorded nine sacks in his final season at Florida. He figures as a reserve with the Bengals in his first year in the pros.

Shipley, 24, will compete to be one of the Bengals' top four receivers and could contribute in the return game. Shipley, Nawrocki wrote in the 2010 Draft Preview, is "a very tough, productive, quicker-than-fast slot receiver" who "must prove that he is strong and durable enough to work the middle of the field consistently at the pro level." Shipley, who caught 116 passes for 1,485 yards and 13 TDs in 2009 for the Longhorns, was hampered by injuries throughout his collegiate career.

The Bengals' lone unsigned draft pick is TE Jermaine Gresham, their first-round selection.
