The Bengals and WR Terrell Owens have agreed on a one-year, $2 million contract,, ESPN and The Cincinnati Enquirer reported on Tuesday.

According to, which first reported the story, ESPN and the Enquirer, Owens, 36, can make an additional $2 million in incentives.

Owens caught 55 passes for 829 yards and five TDs in 2009 for Buffalo. The Bengals considered signing him earlier in the offseason but instead signed ex-Buccaneers WR Antonio Bryant, who has reportedly struggled this offseason.

In addition to his one-season stint with the Bills, Owens has previously played for San Francisco (1996-2003), Philadelphia (2004-05) and Dallas (2006-08). He has caught 1,006 passes for 14,951 yards and 144 touchdowns.

Owens is likely to compete to be one of the Bengals' top three wide receivers and could start if Bryant is hurt or ineffective.
