The Colts and fifth-round TE Brody Eldridge have agreed to terms on a four-year deal, The Indianapolis Star reported Monday. Eldridge is the third of eight 2010 draft picks to sign for the Colts.

The 6-5, 265-pounder started nine games — four at tight end, four at left guard and one at center — in 2009 at Oklahoma.

In PFW's 2010 Draft Preview, personnel analyst Nolan Nawrocki wrote that Eldridge is an "extremely tough and rugged competitor — eats nails and breathes fire."

In addition to his skills as a blocker, Eldridge impressed the club this spring with his hands. He appeared very athletic for his size and could be a weapon if teams focus all their attention on TE Dallas Clark.
