Ravens rookie OLB Sergio Kindle suffered a fractured skull in a fall at a home in Austin, Texas, late last week and will miss training camp, head coach John Harbaugh said Monday.
"He's not going to be able to travel for a few weeks at least, so we won't be seeing him during training camp at all," Harbaugh said Monday, according to the club's official Web site. "We just have to play it by ear and see how it develops. I know one thing, we're going to be very careful with that. You're talking about a head injury and playing football. That's not something we want to mess with. From a football standpoint, we'll move on with the guys we've got."
The 6-3, 250-pound Kindle, a second-round pick, was expected to contribute primarily in pass-rush situations as a rookie. He notched 5½ sacks as a senior at Texas and recorded 2½ sacks in the Longhorns' loss to Alabama in the BCS national championship game.
