The Dolphins didn't waste much time finding a potential replacement for injured DE Phillip Merling.

Former Jets DE Marques Douglas agreed to terms on a two-year deal for $2.5 million Friday, according to a New York Daily News report.

Douglas, who entered the league in 1999, started 12 games for the Jets last season. He'll compete for snaps with rookie DE Jared Odrick. Merling is out for the season after tearing his Achilles tendon earlier this week.
