Sirius XM radio recently announced that RB Maurice Jones-Drew would be hosting a fantasy football show on Friday nights this season. Jones-Drew will take calls from listeners and offer fantasy advice for two hours each week starting in August. This puts head coach Jack Del Rio in a difficult position. The Jaguars need all the national attention they can get, but Del Rio told David Garrard that the QB could not host a local radio show on Fridays last season. Del Rio said at the time that Fridays should be spent studying the playbook and relaxing with family. Fast-forward less than a year and Del Rio believes the difference with Jones-Drew is "the preparation involved with playing running back is very different than that of a quarterback." The way we hear it, the situation places pressure on both Del Rio and Jones-Drew. If the player gets off to a slow start, questions could arise as to whether the show is an unnecessary distraction.
