The Steelers and head coach Mike Tomlin have agreed on a three-year contract extension, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported on Tuesday.

Tomlin, 38, is entering his fourth year as the Steelers' head coach. He is now signed through the 2014 season, according to the Post-Gazette. Tomlin's old contract ran through the 2011 season.

Tomlin has led the Steelers to a 31-17 regular-season record. In his second season, the Steelers captured Super Bowl XLIII, defeating Arizona 27-23.
