The Jaguars announced Wednesday the release of DE Reggie Hayward, OL Cameron Stephenson and four undrafted rookies — P Robert Malone, CB Chris Hawkins, WR Chris McGaha and FB Ben Stallings.

Hayward, 31, spent five seasons with the Jaguars, totaling 17½ sacks. He has 39½ career sacks spanning nine seasons. Hayward spent the 2009 season on injured reserve after breaking his leg in the season opener.

Stephenson, a fifth-round pick of the Steelers in '07, spent the '09 season on the Jaguars' practice squad.

The transactions give the Jaguars an 80-man roster, which is the limit for training camp. Camp opens at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium on July 29.
