The Bengals signed OG Otis Hudson, a fifth-round selection from Eastern Illinois, on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-5, 320-pound Hudson is likely to compete to be a backup guard with the Bengals in his first NFL season. Hudson, 23, started 12 games at right tackle for Eastern Illinois in 2009.
Hudson and WR Dezmon Briscoe, a sixth-round pick from Kansas, are the first two 2010 Bengals draft picks to sign.
"Otis needs work to polish his technique, but he's a big, explosive man with NFL physical ability," Bengals OL coach / assistant head coach Paul Alexander said in a statement issued by the club on Wednesday. "He's a player we can work with and develop."
