Titans QB Chris Simms was arrested Thursday morning in New York City on charges of operating a motor vehicle while impaired by marijuana, The New York Post reported Thursday.
The Post, citing a source, said Simms was stopped at a police checkpoint in the West Village at 1:35 a.m. Thursday. According to the Post, which cited a source, Simms told police he had smoked in his car and "reeked" of marijuana.
The 28-year-old Simms played three games for Denver last season, starting one. He signed with the Titans on April 12. He is competing with Kerry Collins and Rusty Smith for a reserve role with Tennessee.
