The Vikings have claimed WR Marko Mitchell off waivers from the Lions and have waived two players.
The well-traveled Mitchell was a preseason star for the Redskins in 2009 but caught only four passes last season. He was waived earlier in the offseason by Washington and claimed by the Lions.
The Lions also waived Mitchell, and the Vikings scooped him up, adding to their depth at wideout. To clear space on the roster, the Vikings waived rookie free-agent C Tommy Hernandez and DE Cedric McKinley.
