Steelers ORT Willie Colon suffered a torn Achilles during a workout Monday morning, ESPN.com reported Monday. Scout.com first reported that Colon had injured his Achilles.

According to the ESPN report, Colon would face five to six months of rehabilitation if the injury requires surgery, and that would effectively end his season.

On Twitter, Scout.com's Adam Caplan reported that Colon was expected to have surgery this week and go on injured reserve if an MRI test confirmed "the (original) diagnosis."

Colon, 27, has been the Steelers' starter at right tackle for the last three seasons. He has started all 16 regular-season games in each of the last three years. He took over for Max Starks, who eventually moved to left tackle.
