WR Joe Horn, who has been out of the league since the 2007 season, has signed a contract with the Saints and will retire, the team announced.
Horn spent seven of his 12 seasons in New Orleans and made four Pro Bowls as a member of the Saints. He has 603 career receptions for 8,744 yards and 58 touchdowns. His career started in Kansas City, where he played for four seasons, and it ended with a one-year stint on the Falcons.
"Joe’s accomplishments throughout his NFL career were tremendous,” Saints head coach Sean Payton said. “He was one of the most productive wide receivers in the NFL during the period in which he played. For the time that I worked with him he was a big part of us building this program up to where we reached the NFC championship in 2006. I wish Joe happiness and success in his future endeavors."
